Good morning kids and HAPPY FRIGGIN’ FRIDAY!!!
There’s A Map For That
The ad wars are heating up already! In one corner, AT&T. They have the iPhone and that’s about it. That is the only thing keeping customers on their crappy service. Everyone complains about their service from the left coast to the right coast. Even the experts who have iPhones complain. In the other corner is Verizon. They have been kicking themselves for not signing the deal with the iPhone all those years back, but they have awesome coverage.
AT&T is suing Verizon stating that its ‘There’s A Map For That’ commercials mislead consumers. If you are not familiar with this advertisement, it basically shows two maps of the United States. One in red which represents the Verizon wireless coverage and one in blue, representing AT&T. The blue map seems to indicate that Verizon has better coverage than does AT&T when it comes to 3G wireless.
AT&T seems to be saying the consumer (you and I) are not smart enough to read and know the difference between 3G data coverage (which is what the ad is comparing) and calling area coverage.
